GAS LEAK, 8148 LINCOLN ROAD
<p>
St. 221 & 225 were alerted for a Gas Line Struck by workers and leakinig. 221 Squad Crew arrived on scene with 3392 (FM1). 221 Capt took Command and requested Peoples Gas to scene, and held the assignment to the Squad. Gas Company on scene isolated the leak and Squad Crew ventilated the structure as a precaution. Crew also assisted with traffic control for the Gas Company.</p>

<span class="fsfont">Stations 225 and 221 were dispatched at 6:05pm for a commercial fire alarm activated at the Family Links on Frankstown Road. 221 Chief arrived establishing temporary command until the arrival of 225 Engine. 221 Squad took position in front of the structure followed by 225 Engine. 225-502 assumed command upon arrival. Crews investigated and found the alarm was set off in error. Alarm was reset, building occupants were advised and all fire units returned in service.</span></p>

<span class="fsfont">Stations 225, 221, 222 and 227 were dispatched around 9:51am for a reported structure fire near Westwood Road at Pride Road. Caller reported seeing gray smoke coming from the residence. Penn Hills EMS was close by and arrived on scene confirming visible smoke and fire from a residence. 225 Engine-1 arrived on scene with 225 Assistant establishing command. EMS crew was able to drag burning debris out of the kitchen and onto the patio. Crews from 225 Engine then entered the structure to extinguish the remaining debris and check for extension. Residence was checked and no one was found inside. Penn Hills Fire Marshal was called in to investigate. Crews returned in service as they picked up. Great job by all, including EMS, to keep this fire from being much worse!</span></p>

Stations 221, 225 and 227 were dispatched at 6:26pm for a commercial fire alarm activated at the Lincoln Park Community Center. 225 Engine arrived on scene reporting nothing showing. 221 Squad was also on scene with 221 Deputy reporting no problem and holding units on scene, returning all others. Building was checked with no problem found. All fire units returned in service.</p>

RESIDENTIAL STRUCTURE FIRE, 9817 GLENDALE ROAD

Stations 225, 221, 222 and 227 were dispatched around 2:38am for a reported structure fire in the 9800 block of Glendale Road. Police on scene confirmed a fully involved residential structure. 221 Wagon was the first fire apparatus on scene with 221 Captain established command until the arrival of 225 Chief. 221 Captain gave an initial report of a 1-1/2 story residence well involved, water supply established, and crews going to work. 225 Truck arrived and took position in front of the structure to set up truck operations, and 225 Chief assumed command. 227 Truck, 227 Rescue, 222 Engine and 221 Squad crews arrived and assisted with fire suppression, ventilation, and overhaul. It took crews about an hour to bring the fire under control. Allegheny County Fire Marshal was called in to investigate the cause. No one was injured and all fire crews did an outstanding job to bring this fire under control. Units returned in service as they picked up.</p>
