RESIDENTIAL STRUCTURE FIRE, 1165 NORTH WHEELER ST

STATION 221 AS WELL AS 225 / 227/ 222/ AND 102 ALL ALERTED FOR A DRYER FIRE IN A DWELLING . SQUAD 221 ARRIVED ON SCENE WITH SMOKE SHOWING FROM FRONT DOOR. CREWS FROM 221 AND 225 ENTERED HOUSE TO FIND A FIRE IN THE BASEMENT CONFINED TO THE DRYER. CREWS KNOCKED DOWN FIRE. CREWS THEN VENTILATED THE STRUCTURE . 221 DEPUTY WITH COMMAND PLACED SCENE UNDER CONTROL AND HELD FIRST 2 ENGINES AND TRUCK ,OTHER UNITS WERE RETURNED TO SERVICE. REMAINING CREWS HANDELED OVERHAUAL OF FIRE AND COMMAND CONTACTED FIRE MARSHALL BY LAND LINE. ONCE VENTILATION COMPLETE COMMAND PLACED REMAINING UNITS BACK IN SERVICE W/O INCIDENT.<span style="display: none"> </span></p>

Responded for a Vehicle Fire. Squad arrived on scene and was advised by police the vehicle was overheated and left the scene. All units returned in service.</p>
VEHICLE FIRE, NADINE @ ARB
<p>
St. 221, 225, & 222 were alerted for a reported vehicle fire. 221 Chief arrived on scene finding a Jeep with smoke showing. 221 Wagon and 222 EN were all enroute as well. 221 Chief found a male trying to extinguish the fire with mud from around the vehicle, owner was advised to back away from vehicle as fire was still coming from under the vehicle. Command held the assignment with 221 Wagon and returned all others. Wagon Crew arrived and pulled Booster Line to make extingiushment. Crews checked for any extension inside the vehicle. Fire was extinguished and owner had AAA on way for tow. All units returned in service.<span style="display: none"> </span></p>

St. 221, 222 & 227 were alerted for a MVA with Entrapment in front of St. 221. 221 Chief and Squad were on scene reporting 2 vehicle with moderate damage, 1 male trapped. Further investigation showed full size pick up (VEH 1) with moderate frontal damage, 1 occupant denying any injury. (VEH 2) was a compact HHR with moderate frontal damage and both doors pinned and unable to open under with 1 male still inside the vehicle. Squad Crew stabilized the vehicle with cribbing and placed the Combi tool inservice popping the driver door. 222 Rescue arrived and was assigned lighting and traffic control. Squad Crew began patient assessment and attempted to immobilize the patient and package for transport, however the patient denied any injury and became belligerent with the crew. Crew was able to get him to sit down on front bumper of Squad and remain there while talking to him. EMS Crew arrived and care was transferred to M384. Squad Crew began clean up of equipment and debris and returned in service.</p>
