PIC W/ INJURY, MT. CARMEL @ ABER
Squad 221 responded with a crew of 5 for a reported 2 car PIC w/ Unknown Injuries. Squad Crew arrived finding a single vehicle with minor damage to the front of the vehicle and 4 occupants walking around the vehicle with minor debris and fluid on the road. 221 Chief assumed Mt Carmel Command. The occupants stated that another female in a jeep saw them behind her turned her Jeep around and struck them head on and then fled the scene. M384 arrived on scene and evaluated all 4 occupants who refused transport. Squad Crew cleaned up the minor debris and handled Traffic Control. PHPD handled the investigation and 13T5 removed the vehicle. All units cleared the scene and returned in service.

St. 221, 225, 222, & TK 227 were alerted for a residential structure fire. 221 Chief onscene with 221 squad finding that it was a small grill. 221 Chief put all units back in service.

NATURAL GAS LEAK, 7244 SCHELY
St. 221 and 225 were alerted for a gas leak outside a structure. 221 Chief arrived with an obvious odor in area. Chief was met by a resident pointing out house at 7272 was were he believed the odor was coming from and also could hear an audible leak. 221 Squad crew was requested to stage at the open area of the road and send crew with cresent wrench to investigate and see if the line could be shut off. Crew located a crack in the meter from large chunks of ice falling off the roof. Crews were able to secure the line prior to the meter. Equitable Gas was notified to respond. Crews returned in service.

St. 221, RQ222, & RQ227 were alerted for a vehicle over the embankment with entrapment. 221 Squad arrived reporting 1 vehicle on its side with 1 still in the vehicle, not over the hillside. 221 Capt 2 had command. 222 RQ arrived on scene followed by 222 EN. Command reported a male entrapped but not injured. Command held the detail with 221 and 222 units reporting all that was needed was to remove the windshield. 227 RQ returned in service. The patient was extricated and refused EMS treatment. 13T5 responded to tow the vehicle. All units returned in service.<br />

Command reported fire under control holding the squad returning the rest. Command terminated, returned in service.

While enroute the Squad was notified that the home owner replaced the battery possible faulty detector, Squad Crew arrived onscene crew checked detector and metered the house and found no readings alarm activation due to battery. Command held the card with the Squad & 225 EN2 placing everyone else back in. Crews cleaned up debris and waited for 13T5. County DPW was also requested to Salt the roadway.
