St. 221, 225, 222 & 227 TK were alerted for a strange odor inside the structure. Crews arrived and began investigating. Crews located a paint thinner type odor, that disipated as the crews worked. Dominion Peoples Gas Man arrived on scene, stating he was in the area at another house for an odor as well. He went in with the crews and stated it was the same odor as the previous house. Crews determined it was a thinner or nail polish remover type odor that must have been dumped in the sewer system. All units returned in service.<span style="display: none">QT </span></p>

ODOR INVESTIGATION, 8147 CHASKE ST.

St. 221, 222EN, 225SVC, 227TK alerted for a reported Gas Leak inside the structure. 221 Squad crew arrived on scene investigating a 2 story duplex unit on the left, Driver set up lighting. Crews reported an odor of gas from the stove and an odor on the first division in 8147 Chaske. Equitable gas notified. 222EN crew arrived and began assisting. Command request crews attempt to isolate the gas to individual appliance and meter LEL inside the structure along with evaluating the outside main. Crews made contact with resident in 8149 Chaske to determine the source of the problem was caused from a plumber pouring liquid drain opener in the drain causing the odor. Ventilation to both units on Chaske, occupant advised, all units clear. One occupant evaluated by medics refused transferred to hospital. <span style="display: none"> </span></p>

Squad 221 alerted for a possible CO condition in the residents, no priority symptoms. Squad crew of 6 responded. Squad 221 arrived on the scene Assistant with command crews investigating. The home owner states she came home to find her vehicle had been running in the garage for several hours and immediately began to open all the windows and doors in the house. The home was ventilated for approximately 45 minutes prior to calling for emergency services. Crews metered the entire house with negative results. Readings of 38ppm were found inside the vehicle. Vehicle windows were opened and garage ventilated until metered readings of zero. Assisted the home owner to close all the windows and secure the house. The entire house including the garage were metered with zero readings. Command terminated, returned in service.<br />

St. 225 & 221 were alerted for a Public Service Detail. Resident was on scene with a cat stuck in a sewer drop requesting assistance. Units arrived and placed an attic ladder in the drop and descended to try to retrieve the frisky feline. The feline retreated further into the drain. Units were able to trace the sewer line further down into the yard and found it flows out into a small stream. It was determined the feline has an escape route and animal control was notified. Crews arrived finding about 4 feet of water in the basement with a minor smoke condition in the structure. Crews isolated the main breaker and shut electric service off to the structure. The smoke began to clear. Units were able to get into the basement at this time with Thermal Cameras and check for any signs of fire. It was determined the electrical motor on the furnace burnt up and caused the smoke. Units attempted to begin pumping of the basement but were unsucessful due to the heavy rain that had been falling all day. Crews were unable to determine where the water was coming in from. Homeowner was advised and crews returned in service.</p>

St. 221 & 225 were alerted for a Residential Fire Alarm. St. 221 responded the Squad, Engine 2, and the Service with a Crew of 12. 221 Capt arrived on scene same time as Eng 2. Capt spoke to the homeowner who reported he set the alarm off in accident while cooking. Homeowners opened all there windows and self ventilated. All crews returned in service.

Station 221 and Engine 225 were dispatched to 296 Bramble St for a residential fire alarm, Eng 225-1 called on air as did station 221 with engine trouble. Eng 221-2 called enroute shortly after, followed by 225-1 onscene. 225-1 reported a bad battery in the smoke detector and advised the home owner. 225-1 returned all units back to services.

St. 221, 225, 222, and TK227 were alerted for a reported Structure Fire. 221 Squad & Chief in with a crew of 5. While enroute 911 Communications advised police were on scene reporting a working fire. 221 Chief added 102 RIT. Squad crew arrived on scene reporting smoke showing and the crew was stretching a hand line. 221 Chief arrived on scene assuming Lincoln CMD. 225 EN arrived taking the plug laying into the Squad and there crew assisted with extingiushment. Interior Squad Crew reported they were getting a knock on a kitchen fire. 225 TK arrived taking position past the structure and assisting with ventilation. 222 arrived on scene and assisted with overhaul. 227TK arrived taking position behind the structure and the TK Crew went to work laddering the building. Interior Squad Crew reported to Command that the Fire was out and crews were overhauling and venting. 102 RIT arrived and was staged in front of the structure. County Fire Marshal was requested to investigate. All utilities were notified to secure the structure. Occupants were evaluated by Penn Hills EMS. Fire was placed under control quickly and home was ventilated. Utilities arrived and disconnected power and gas. Units were released as they picked up. 221 EN 2 stood by with County Fire Marshal for the investigation.

<p> 221 Squad responded with the Chief and Command vehicle to an audible alarm sounding from a residence. Arrived on the scene with the corrected address of 3113 Hebron Drive. St. 225 and 221 were alerted for a report of natural gas in the residence. Squad 221 arrived on scene followed by 225 EN1 with crews going to investigate. Odor was found to be from gasoline leaking from a motorcycle in the basement . Crews isolated the leak and ventilated the house. All units returned in service.

St. 221, 222 were alerted for a Physical rescue, as the water treatment plant while enroute medics updated that patient was out of the vehicle. 221 and 222 units blocked the road while crews cleaned up the debris. 221 service and 222 squad blocked off the top of Nadine and Lincoln while 221 squad assisted at the bottom of Nadine. 222 Crew was released and 221 service went to the bottom of Nadine with the squad for traffic control. Units monitored and checked water flow to multiple homes. Crews cleared several storm sewer basins allowing the water to receed, opened the roadway back up, and water levels decreased in homes. While the 221 units were attending a STAT Medevac LZ Safety Class at St. 222, County Communications struck the alarm for St. 221 & 225 for a report of Electric & Cable Lines down in roadway. The Squad Crew remained at class while 221 CMD and 225 EN responded and located wires down at intersection of Manilla @ Cushing. Crews found that owner of property was cutting down a tree and the branches dislodged the wire from the house. The Line was still energized and connected. Duq Light and Verizon were both notified to respond. Crews placed some caution tape to warn oncoming motorists. All units returned in service.

RESIDENTIAL STRUCTURE FIRE, 443 LEE DR.
St. 225, 222, 221, TK227 alerted for a Working Structure Fire. 227 TK arrived reporting a working fire in a 2 story brick with crews taking a line for attack. 227 EN arrived laying a 5" supply line to feed the TK. 221 Squad arrived on scene with crews handling truck work and laddering the building. 225 EN arrived with there crew handling 2nd floor search. 222 units assumed RIT responsibilities. EMS was tending to a critical victim found in the front yard on arrival of PD. Search Crew located a unconscious large breed dog and removed him to the front of the structure where several of the chiefs and a paramedic tried to revive the K9 with the use of our PET O2 masks and CPR. Crews worked very hard for about 20 minutes but were unsuccessful. Crews had the fire out and overhauled quickly. Units ventilated and the Fire Marshall arrived for investigation. Animal Control was notified to retrieve the Dog and 1-800-BOARDUP was contacted to secure the premise. Units began returning as they picked up.<br />

Squad 221 responded with a crew of 5 for a reported 2 car PIC w/ Unknown Injuries. Squad Crew arrived finding a single vehicle with minor damage to the front of the vehicle and 4 occupants walking around the vehicle with minor debris and fluid on the road. 221 Chief assumed Mt Carmel Command. The occupants stated that another female in a jeep saw them behind her turned her Jeep around and struck them head on and then fled the scene. M384 arrived on scene and evaluated all 4 occupants who refused transport. Squad Crew cleaned up the minor debris and handled Traffic Control. PHPD handled the investigation and 13T5 removed the vehicle. All units cleared the scene and returned in service.

RESIDENTIAL STRUCTURE FIRE, 196 SUNCREST DR
Station 221, 225, 222 and 227 Truck were alerted to 196 Suncrest Drive for a structure fire. 221 Asst arrived on scene to find a 1 1/2 story single family dwelling nothing showing from the exterior. Police units advised home owner reported a stove fire to be out. Squad 221 arrived and crews investigated. Crews found a pot of liquid grease on fire on the stove top with a 3 ft flame and a smoke condition throughout the house. Fire was snuffed and removed from the residents. Command held 221 squad on the scene for ventilation. Residents ventilated, advised home owner crew returned in service.
